美国时间2010年1月21日，最高法院作出裁决，废除企业在各种公共职位选举中支持或者反对特定候选人时所允许使用的金额上限。至此corporate personhood完全建立，企业和政治之间连说客这一中间人都不需要了，最高法院抡起第一修正案的大棒将自由女神一棍打死，美国民主，享年234岁。
这个5:4裁决的最高法院法官中5位支持的是：

至于这分名单里面的趋势么我就不说了，实在是太明显了。
当他们在没有任何搜查令的时候窃听你的电话、查看你的上网记录、偷看电子邮件、在机场脱光搜身的时候最高法院不说什么，因为在国家安全面前第四修正案就是空气，但是当企业们需要扩大自己本就巨大的政治影响力的时候，第一修正案就成了面大旗，不知道国父们看到他们的一生贡献被如此糟蹋的时候会是什么感想。
当然回头想一下，我还真想不出来有哪条利于企业的法案没有被国会通过的。其实这就是墨索里尼所说的corporate state吧，这个民主国家已死，取而代之的是一个走向灭亡的法西斯帝国：”Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.”
美国告别了她的1776，正在走向她的1789，但是现在看来1789恐怕会变成1984才对。
